About

This blog is an attempt to identify the optimal way forward given my submissive desires (I hate the term submissive but I will use it for now) and my commitment to my faith. As of Sept 2025, I have not come to a clear conclusion yet.

The intended audiences for this blog are the following:

  • Muslim male submissives (and to a lesser extent Muslim female dominants): The goal being to provide, through my own journey, a source of information, practical guidance and faith-aligned perspective to a part of the internet that too often sidelines Islamic viewpoints in favor of Western ones, warps Islamic tenets to suit their objectives or condemns people with these desires as sick perverts who must undertake a course of repression or psychiatric care.
  • Islamic scholars / educators: There are incredible scholars that do a great job in reminding us that desire alone is not sinful, the importance of moderation and avoiding excess as well as the duty to discipline the nafs - my current favourite amongst them being Sh Abdal Hakim Murad. However, I feel that modern scholars have failed to engage substantively and specifically with the explosion of fetishes/kinks/lifestyle interests amongst Muslims. This has led to large parts of the discourse among Muslims to be ceded to secular voices. I hope my blog can contribute to scholars taking a greater interest in this area.

In order to reach a resolution, I intend to the following:

  • Speak to learned scholars: I will be directly reaching out to scholars who are both trained in the classical tradition and are also deeply familiar with Western societies and contemporary issues. I will be making sure they do not have merely a surface level understanding before I solicit their advice.
  • Engage with classical Islamic literature: I am confident that Islamic scholars in the past have dealt with the issue of uncommon or irregular sexual urges. Their guidance would be relevant and interesting to read.
